Peter W. Davidson, CEO of Aligned Climate Capital, emphasized the growing demand for clean energy: “The U.S. needs new power generation to meet growing electricity demand, and solar energy is the cheapest, fastest, and cleanest technology in the market.”Business Wire+2Business Wire+2Aligned Climate Capital+2

Aligned’s approach involves acquiring construction-ready distributed solar projects, financing their build-out, and delivering returns through tax credit monetization, operating income distributions, and portfolio sales to institutional infrastructure investors. The firm has been active in the distributed solar market since 2018 and currently owns and operates more than 65 MWdc of projects across seven states.Business Wire+1ReVision Energy+1

The fund’s success is attributed to strong partnerships with development firms like ReWild Renewables, which developed two of ASP6’s current projects in Delaware. Pat Jackson, co-founder of ReWild Renewables, noted the importance of reliable partners in the current market landscape.Business Wire+2Business Wire+2Business Wire+2

ASP6 is scheduled to make its initial cash distribution to investors in 2025, with plans for annual distributions thereafter. Ultimately, the operating portfolio is expected to be sold to institutional investors following the tax recapture period.Business Wire
